It was Henry David Thoreau that said, "If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer." In response to what Paul L. Garlington was hearing within, and after pastoring for nearly thirty years, he gave up his pastorate to launch a new enterprise, Heartsight Lifestyle Training Center. Inaugurated on July 4, 1993, Heartsight exists for the sole purpose of nurturing those who are ready to embrace a new lifestyle based upon the celebration of the goodness of God and the practice of the presence of perfect everything here and now.

As founder/director of Heartsight, Paul, a gifted speaker and repository of wisdom, mentors his members to the end that they see, know and luxuriate in the fact that there is nothing going on but good in total disregard of all contrary appearances. These insights have been acquired through a commitment to work out his revelation in the context of his personal life situations. Paul speaks weekly at his Sunday Accelebrations (an amalgamation of the words celebrate and acceleration), as well as conducts seminars on Monday nights, 36 weeks out of the year. He is the author of two books, Strangers in Paradise; Aliens in the Promised Land and Celebrate Reality: A Spiritual Practicum, that further elaborate on the joys of knowing God is One and besides Him, there is none other. Moreover, Paul has published several position papers and monthly addresses all designed to cause the sincere seeker to "taste and see that the Lord is good."

Paul resides in Rochester, New York with his lovely wife, Gladys.
